GRADUATION CEREMONY - PÉCS, SZÉCHENYI SQUARE

Following the establishment of the Faculty of Health Sciences in 1989, the first health science degrees were awarded in 1993 at a summer graduation ceremony. The Faculty's most prominent event brings together the newly graduated health, sports, social sciences and social work professionals with their lecturers.

The graduation ceremony will be held again this year in the historical centre of Pécs, in Széchenyi Square.

Important information for candidates attending the ceremony.

For the smooth running of the event, please adhere to the following schedule.

Candidates of the following specialisations are requested to arrive at 13:45:

Administration, collection of robes

Please carry out the administrative tasks related to the graduation ceremony (e.g. signing the graduation register) in the Aula of the Faculty's "A" building (Pécs, Vörösmarty u. 4.), and you can also collect the robes here.

We kindly ask you to bring a blue pen and your ID card to the administration.

A rehearsal for the candidates will be held at Széchenyi Square from 14:20, where we kindly ask you to be on time! For organisational reasons, we cannot award the certificate to candidates who do not attend the rehearsal. Thank you for your understanding!

Return of the robes

After the event, please return your robes and their accessories by 17:30 at the latest in the Aula of the Faculty's "A" building (Pécs, Vörösmarty u. 4.).

Participation is subject to the payment of the fees for the ceremony by the deadline.

For Master's degree students, a certificate in cylinders 1.500,-Ft

Rental fee for robes and caps 5.500,-Ft

Graduate badge 700,-Ft

In addition, it was optionally possible to request student invitations at a cost of 500,-Ft/each, which can only be mailed after payment.

Information on the payment of these fees will be sent to you by the Central Registrar's Office after 6 June 2024.

Dress code: Formal wear is also obligatory under the robe! Women must wear a suit with gala shoes that are closed toe and heel, while men must wear a dark suit, a tie and dark blucher shoes.

Should the weather indicate, it is of course possible to wear lightweight clothing under the robe, other than the dress code!

A professional photographer will be taking photos of candidates during the ceremony. To view them and order copies (both electronic and hard), please visit www.diplomafoto.hu. Graduates will be notified by email when the photos are developed. Please sign your statement of consent for the delivery of your email address when collecting your robe.

In order to ensure a smooth and safe outdoor event, we would like to draw your attention to the following useful information:

• Please note that only paid parking is available in the entire downtown area and that you need a permit to enter the historic downtown of Pécs.

• There will be a tent at the venue to provide shade and shelter from the rain in case of bad weather. It is recommended that people staying outside the event venue wear an umbrella and/or straw hat.
• Water from a balloon will be provided on site, it is recommended to bring a drinking bottle.
• Organised by the Faculty’s Institute of Emergency Care, Pedagogy of Health and Nursing Sciences, in cooperation with the National Ambulance Service, first aid patrol units will be on duty at the event venue.
• If you feel unwell, please contact the first aid patrol units, the organisers or the OMSZ ambulance on site.
• Bathrooms are located in the faculty buildings about 80-120 m from the event venue (Mária u. 5-7; Apáca street block; Szepesy Ignác u. 1-3.) Accessible bathrooms are located in the buildings of Szepesy street.
• Please note that photos can only be taken from places authorised by the organisers.
• For the safety of the event, please leave the escape routes marked on site unobstructed and strictly adhere to the instructions given by the organisers! If you have any problems, questions or comments, please contact them for assistance.
