Information about exam period

27. APRIL 2023 Hírek Faculty news

Dear Students,

I inform you about the exam period of the second semester of 2022/2023 academic year.

Exam period: 22 May 2023 (Monday) - 23 June 2023 (Friday)

Start of exam registration: 17 April 2023 from 8 a. m. (Monday) continuously!

Exam period for graduating students: 26 April 2023 (Wednesday) - 10 May 2023 (Wednesday)

The exams are conducted according to the relevant regulations of Code of Studies and Examinations of the University of Pécs (hereinafter: CSE) and the Code of Charges and Benefits (hereinafter: CCB), which can be viewed on the website of UP(https://international.pte.hu/current-students/information-related-your-studies/codes-and-guidelines).

According to the CSE, the student's participation in the sessions of the registered courses is a condition for obtaining a signature at the end of the semester. The lecturer must refuse to obtain a grade, certification, or end-of-semester signature for the student in the given subject due to absence, if the student's absence from the classes held (the total number of certified and uncertified hours) exceeds 30%.

The buildings of the Faculty of Health Sciences are available as the venue for the exams. The only exceptions to this are those subjects in which the practical part of the exam cannot be conducted in the Faculty's buildings. The exact location of the exam can be viewed when registering for the exam on the Neptun higher educational system (hereinafter: Neptun), assigned to the day of the exam.

In the exam, only the student who registered for the exam, so the student listed on the exam sheet, can participate! In the absence of proof of identity, the student cannot start the exam!

A student from the same course can register for a new exam date only if the data for the given exam (the grade or the "not shown" entry) has been recorded by the examiner in Neptun. You can only register for one exam day at a time from a given subject! Exams before the first day and after the last day of the exam period can only be taken on the basis of a strictly individual assessment!

According to Section (9) of Article 49 of the Code of Studies and Examination:

„If the student does not attend the registered exam and he does not exempt his/her
absence by stating the well-grounded reason and verifies it on a request submitted to the Registrar’s
Office which clearly identifies the exam within 8 days from the exam date, he/she has to pay the absence
fee according to Appendix (1) of the Code of Charges and Benefits.”

An unsuccessful exam may be repeated twice during the given training period. It is the Student's own responsibility to leave time and place for all exams and any retake exams (or repeated retake exams) and to register for them in time. It is also possible to apply for retake and repeated retake exams through Neptun.

According to Section (14) of Article 52 of CCB „aof the academic year of 2016/2017 the third and further exams in the same course-unit cannot be taken without paying the exam fee first. The fee shall also be paid in case the student does not take the exams within the same semester. Following the second exam the student shall transcribe the fee of the given exam in the ES, then he/she shall pay it online, with bank card (VPOS), at the cashier or via bank transfer.”

When calculating retake exams, Neptun also takes into account the fact that the student registered the given subject in previous semesters.

You must register for the exam no later than 24 hours before the scheduled exam day, and you have the option to deregister 36 hours before the exam day.

Retake exam-, and other service fees

Retake fee from the same subject for third and more times, integrated exams:  2.500 HUF

Uncertified absence from an exam:  2.000 HUF

In addition to the above, I would like to draw the attention of students who started their training in or after 2012/2013 academic year to Section (8) of Article 23 of CSE:

„The appointed registrar shall terminate the student status of students enrolled in or after 2012/2013
if the number of retake and repeated retaken exams failed at the same course unit reaches five
.
Regarding this cause of student status termination the second exam taken at one course unit qualifies
as a retake, the third and every further attempt (including the Dean’s chance as well)
 as a repeated
retake exam even if that was the first exam at one course unit in a given semester.
 (…)”

Registration for the exam is done electronically via the website https://neptun.pte.hu/en. Internet access is available in all buildings of the Faculty!

If you are unable to register for the announced exam date, please report the problem immediately to the email address neptun@etk.pte.huI would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the event of a technical problem, you must report your problem with the exam registration at least 24 hours before the date of the exam - with the exact name and date of the exam - to the email address neptun@etk.pte.hu, otherwise you will not be able to take part in the exam or if you still participate, your exam result will be invalid.

Please check the validity of the password for the EHA/NEPTUN code as soon as possible!

Wishing you a successful exam period,

Yours sincerely:
