Last week, our preparation and research work in the IDEAL project finally paid off: in two parallel workshops, future healthcare professionals from partner organisations in Austria and Hungary were able to test and evaluate the online learning materials that we created.
The working sessions in Vienna (Austria) and Szombathely (Hungary) kicked off with face-2-face events which were connected online: as introduction, project partners presented the project idea and content and how it can be applied for language learning in the healthcare context.
After the theoretical part, students were able to jump right into practical testing of the 10 learning videos and the accompanying learning material. Both groups were highly motivated and gave great feedback about the usability and relevance of our training materials - how they can use it for independent language learning, for preparing to communicate with colleagues, patients and family members, and how they would recommend the results to their colleagues and classmates.
The training event was set up with a classroom part on day 1, and with online self-learning in the following days.
Overall, the #ideal project collected great feedback and inspiration for the final phase of the implementation, to finetune, finalise and further promote the project results.
Stay tuned for more news from the IDEAL project!
