The 16th ITTF Sports Science Congress will be organised by the ITTF, HTTA and University of Pécs on the 19-20 April in Budapest before the World Table Tennis Championship. The registration process is over and the Organising Committee is looking forward for a very interesting congress.
The congress will have a wide variety of oral and poster presentations. 213 authors’ 112 abstracts were accepted from 29 countries and 4 continents all over the world. (e.g. China, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Hungary, USA etc.)
During the two days of the congress three invited speakers will hold their keynote speech – Mr. Sheng K. WU (TWN), Mr. Damir SEKULIC (CRO) and Mr. Miklós STOCKER (HUN) – 48 further authors will present their oral lecture and 61 scientific poster will be presented. 135 participants are registered for the congress to be present personally in the Danubius Hotel Flamenco.
The participants can get an insight into such topics like the relationship of coaching leadership and players’ emotions, the analysis of typical service strategies and footwork techniques by elite players, the usage of artificial intelligence in table tennis, the agility as a basic component in table tennis or the management aspects of table tennis.
The congress will be opened by Mrs. Tünde SZABÓ (State Secretary for Sport in Hungary), Mr. Thomas WEIKERT (President of International Table Tennis Federation), Mr. Roland NÁTRÁN (President of Hungarian Table Tennis Association) and Mr. Pongrác ÁCS (Vice-dean of University of Pécs, Faculty of Health Sciences).
