Autumn (replacement) Final Closing Examination Period of the academic year 2025/2026

Dear (former) Students,

 

This is to inform you that the Autumn (replacement) Final Closing Examination Period of the academic year 2025/2026 at the Faculty will be held between October 13, 2025 and November 7, 2025. The application form is available for download at the link below:

The application form shall be submitted to the Registrar’s Department by September 10, 2025, at the latest. A detailed letter of information with the exact dates of the final closing exams will be sent out later. The final closing exam participation for students without student status requires a payment (HUF 20.000). The information on the payment process will be provided by the Central Registrar’s Office after September 10, 2025.

 

The deadline for forwarding the Thesis Submission Form (Annex 7.1) to the email address  szakdolgozat@etk.pte.hu  is August 24, 2025 (Sunday).

 

The thesis/degree thesis submission deadline is September 3, 2025 (Wednesday).

 

The late submission deadline is September 10, 2025 (Wednesday) (provided that the request for late submission was received and approved by the Institute/Department by September 3, 2025, at the latest).

The late thesis/degree thesis submission fee is HUF 1500/day. This means the fee must be paid for each day the submission is delayed. The relevant information on the payment process will also be provided by the Central Registrar’s Office. Please note that participation in the final closing exam is only permitted if all payment obligations have been settled.

 

Please note that Annex 5 of the Organizational and Operational Regulations of the University of Pécs, the Code of Studies and Examinations, Article 59 (8), contains the provisions regarding the upload of the thesis to the Neptun educational system.

(The thesis shall be submitted electronically in the form determined by the University. The student is obliged to upload his/her thesis, the thesis title declaration, and other required documents onto the ES.)

Based on the above-mentioned provisions, please upload your thesis/degree thesis to the Neptun Educational System by September 3, 2025, or in case of late submission by September 10, 2025, at the latest!

 

 

Additionally, the following completed and signed documents shall be uploaded in the “appendix” file of the thesis folder:

 

  • Annex 6
  • Annex 7.2
  • Annex 7.1
  • Declaration of the originality of the writing
  • Accepted modification application (if applicable)

 

Any change concerning the title, the content, or the supervisor/consultants of the thesis/degree thesis shall be requested using the related forms (Annex 3 and 4, which can be downloaded from the following page:

https://english.etk.pte.hu/administration/registrars-office ) The forms need to be submitted to the Institute/Department in charge of the study program!

 

The formal criteria of the thesis/degree thesis can be checked using the formal criteria compliance supervision form, which can be downloaded at the following link: https://www.etk.pte.hu/public/upload/files/letolthetodokumentumok/Dekani_utasitasok/eng/annex08-eng.pdf. This form is not to be submitted along with the thesis, but checking the list on the form is practical and advised. (If the “Yes” checkbox can be marked in all criteria, - except that the submission of the bound thesis and the CD is not necessary -  the thesis is acceptable by the Registrar’s Department.)

 

Please note that in accordance with 1/2024 Dean’s Order, the CHARACTER COUNT is calculated WITHOUT spaces, abstract, table of contents, bibliography, figures/tables, their captions, and other appendices (recommendation, acknowledgement, technical notes)!

 

Additionally, I would like to draw your attention to the following provisions in Article 61 (4) of the Code of Studies and Examination, which apply to the final opportunity to sit for the final closing examination.

 

“...Students who have commenced their studies in the academic year 2012/2013 or after cannot take the final closing examinations after fifth year following the termination of their student status.

 

Within five years from the termination of their student status, students who gained the pre-degree certificate until September 30, 2020 can register for the final closing examination in any of the final closing examination periods in accordance with the training requirements effective at the time of taking the final closing examination.

 

Within five years from the termination of their student status, students who gained the pre-degree certificate after October 1, 2020 can register for the final closing examination in any of the final closing examination periods in accordance with the training requirements effective at the time of taking the final closing examination, with the added requirement that after second year after the pre-degree certificate was issued the eligibility to take the final closing examination shall be requested from the Credit Transfer Committee. The Committee – in view of the lapse of time – might require in its decision to retake the exams of the subjects that are taken into account when calculating the qualification of the degree.

 

Furthermore, in accordance with the special provisions pertaining to the Faculty of Health Sciences “In derogation of Article 61 (4) at the Faculty the Credit Transfer Committee may require in its permission – due to lapse of time – the retake of the exams in the professionally relevant courses.”

 

The request for permission shall be submitted to the email address tanulmanyi.osztaly@etk.pte.hu by August 15, 2025, at the latest. (There is no form for the request.)

 

If any changes occur regarding the thesis submission, you will be informed immediately.
